The hotel is a genuine jewel of the Atlantic coast, with its desert Kasbah-style architecture, its refined interiors and its riad inspired by the Caravanserai form a harmonious combination of the traditional and the modern. Surrounding this luxury oasis lies the accommodation: 273 rooms, including 18 junior suites, six ambassador suites and 1 royal suite with private swimming-pool and Jacuzzi. The hotel also offers guests a lobby area with 24-hour reception, a currency exchange facility and laundry service (for an additional charge). For younger guests there is a children's village supervised by specialist team leaders. Newspapers are available and there is an on-site golf pro-shop. This hotel offers guests the option of combining business with pleasure and provides all the advantages of a large business centre and 9 meeting rooms with capacity for 500 persons, including a 500 m² plenary room, 2 executive meeting rooms and 3 meeting rooms as well as a dedicated team for tailor-made incentive programs.

Everything is fabulous, the rooms, the pool, sunbathing areas, proximity to the beach, food, value for money (you have to realise though that you are staying in a European standard hotel so don't expect cheap local prices) but?
I would stay at this hotel again as it proved to be very good value for money.
I saw some reviews complaining about the price of food etc here but I don't really think anything is overpriced for the type of hotel this is.
It was amazing value for money, a true 5* hotel.
The hotel is situated in a tranquil location, next to the beach.
We were apprehensive after reading some of the reviews but we found the Sofitel to be a perfect holiday location.
The access to the sea works just fantastically and the location on the beach is the best in Agadir.
A taxi from the airport takes 20 mins and costs 200 dirhams (£12.
Then the taxi ripped us off by charging 220 MAD for what should have been 170MAD from the airport to the Sofitel.
Our room was very nice with a king size bed and TV, the bathroom was clean and extremely relaxing with dressing gowns and complimentary toiletries.
The rooms are great, big bed and wonderfull bedding, you need to upgrade to a delux room as these have a balconey (our opinion).
To begin with reception tried to convince us that this was a suite and it took some time before we were given again 2 interconnecting rooms, however this time with a Kingsize bed in one and sofa in the other- the ocean view never materialised.
The care of the room was under minimum, with hairs forgotten in bathroom and no cleaning under the bed.
The rooms,dark, are badly designed: transparent window between bathroom and bedroom, and only openworked wood panel between WC and bathroom.
Food and drinks from the pool bar/restaurant are pretty expensive for lunch - your best bet is to get a taxi to the nearby supermarket and buy loads of bottled water and soft drinks, and snacks, as it will save you a lot.
Big breakfast buffets with lots of choice and if you eat in the main restaurant there is a degustation dish that comes served on a wooden tray that offers a glimpse of the best that the hotel has to offer for Moroccan or Asian cooking.
The hotel had several restaurants with a wide variety from traditional Moroccan cuisine to sushi, pizzas, burgers and gourmet meals.
Skip the awful breakfast, instead eat at one of the cafes near the hotel and spend your savings in La Scala and Le Miramar restaurants.
The breakfast served was of a high standard as was all food served in the various restaurants located in the hotel.
Don’t expect a great deal from the service (reception / waiting staff).
The staff and service provided were excellent from the waiting staff to the manager.
Some guests reserve two or three beds in different location with is kind of selfish when there probably aren’t enough beds anyway; (f) service around the pool is very noisy mainly due to staff arguing with one another.
Prices there are very reasonable too, i have never experienced such a good service in my life and the reception werent willing to change our accommodation.
There is a reception area, A buffet restaurant, a Fish restaurant, snack bar around the pool area, spa and gym, a nightclub with its own restaurant, business room and hotel shops.
Even though we are not a huge fan of resorts, we did like the hotel, because the rooms are comfortable and spacious, and also because the hotel has many facilities (pool, spa, fitness etc.
The hotel has superb facilities, with a huge pool area, gym, tennis courts, massage clinic and private entrance to the beach on its doorstep.
The room was on the small side, with no balcony, with a tiny view of the sea but it was adequate, and very clean, for the length of our stay.
The service was excellent and our room was spotlessly clean absolutely stunning.
Our rooms were very clean and the staff were all friendly and helpfull.
Rooms are very clean and well furnished, though a little small.
The room was very comfortable - and clean - bonus was the 24 hour movie channel in English!
